🎉 It’s International Chefs Day! Today we’re serving up some serious appreciation for all of our amazing campus chefs! In the spotlight today is Chef Adam Lawrence, Executive Chef at Dana!👨‍🍳 With us since 2017 and officially on the executive chef team for the last two months, Chef Adam brings more than just delicious food to the table! His dish of choice to serve up? Laughter! Great choice, Adam! 🌎 From Maine to SoCal (18 years on the West Coast!) and back again, Adam has lived coastal, central, and even on an island. Why come back to Maine? His answer: “Why wouldn’t you?” 💙 👟 You’ll spot him in his signature “Snoop Dogg shoes” because flavor starts from the ground up. 😎 🍂 Favorite season? Fall. 🐿️ Pets? Adam is our resident squirrel whisperer, and also has a beloved cat named Sadie. 🍕 Favorite pizza topping? Crumbly bacon or a Greek-style pie. 🍽️ Favorite dish to cook at home? His lovely wife also shares a love of cooking and often cooks, with one of her signature dishes being a toutierre pie. 📺 Off the clock, Chef Adam is all about murder mysteries, Dateline, and Court TV, so if you’re ever missing a cookie… he’ll get to the bottom of it! 🔍🍪 What’s his favorite part about working here? “The people. 🎉 Meet Zack! 🎉 If you’ve been to the Spa, chances are you’ve crossed paths with Zack and left with a smile! 😄 Zack has been part of the Colby Dining team for 4 years, and he’s known for his upbeat spirit and signature phrases like: ✨ “You’re amazing!” ✨ “Keep on smiling!” And when you ask how he’s doing? 💬 “Stupidly, terrifically, amazingly awesome!” Zack’s favorite campus food? 🍕 Pepperoni pizza! All day, any day! Originally from Skowhegan, Zack is a proud Mainer who loves winter (“because it keeps the bugs away!” ❄️). While he’s a dog person at heart, he shares his home with his cat, Amber, affectionately known as “Kitty.” 🐱 What does Zack love most about working at the Spa? 💙 “Interacting with all of the students!” We’re so lucky to have Zack’s positivity and energy on our team!
